OMG - too funny, my dad used to sing this song all the time. In fact I have a video of him singing this song (a few months before he passed away) as my hubby plays on guitar, he loved the Who. Speaking of the Who, my kids saw Tommy when it was on VH1 recently - they were like huh? But I catch them singing the Ann Margaret part, "Tommy can you hear me" - they slip Mommy in for Tommy. Out of the mouths of babes -eh?
